Visit the OncoRay Center at the Dresden Science Night

June 14th 2019 from 7 pm to 0 am

To improve cancer therapy, it is important that researchers from different fields - from biology, chemistry and physics to medicine - work together. The National Centre for Radiation Research in Oncology - OncoRay brings together physicians and scientists from the Helmholtz Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, the Technische Universität and the University Hospital Carl Gustac Carus. The vision of OncoRay is to improve the tretment of cancer through biologically individualized, technologically optimized radiation therapy.

Visit the OncoRay and learn interesting facts about current radiation research with an proton marble track. „Quo Vadis - where the beam hits the cell" gives you and your children an insight into the world of radiation biology. Our physicians and scientists are available to answer questions about radiation therapy and research and look forward to talking to you!

The guided tours to the treatment room of the proton therapy facility start every 15 minutes.
