OncoRay is a member of the National Center for Tumor Diseases Dresden (NCT/UCC).

Since 2015 the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT/UCC) is based in Dresden. It is the second institution of this kind, following the example set by NCT Heidelberg. Here, physicians and scientists work together to offer cancer patients a tailor-made diagnostics and therapy. The joint aspiration of both NCT institutes is to establish the NCT as an internationally renowned center of excellence for personalized cancer research and cancer therapy.

The supporting institutions of NCT/UCC Dresden are the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) Heidelberg, the Carl Gustav Carus Faculty of Medicine at TU Dresden, the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus Dresden and the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf.

After construction is completed in 2019, NCT/UCC Dresden will receive an annual funding of 15 million euro, financed in a 90:10 ratio by the federal government and the Saxon government. For the new NCT/UCC building on the grounds of the University Hospital, the State of Saxony is allocating another 22 million euro.
