Postgraduate School

The OncoRay Postgraduate School, founded in 2005, is providing in-depth postgraduate education for physicists, engineers, biologists and medical doctors. The core of the Postgraduate School is a four-semester Master of Science Course (M.Sc. “Medical Radiation Sciences”) combined with the clinical education of accredited Medical Physics Experts. The aim of this program is to lessen the severe shortage of Medical Physics Experts which we currently experience in all fields of clinical radiology (diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, radiotherapy) in Germany as well as in many European countries.

In addition to the MSc course the School offers a PhD (or MD)-track for all students performing their doctoral thesis at OncoRay. This program offers obligatory courses such as biostatistic or the basic science of radiation as well as specific voluntary components.
